universities. Based on data on the social origin of students, doctoral students, and professors in the long-term cross-section, the article views the empirically observable dynamic of social closure of higher education since the 1950s. The focus of interest is on the level of the professorship. Data show that career conditions for underprivileged groups have deteriorated again. This finding is discussed in the context of social closure theories. The article argues that closure theories consider social closure processes primarily as intentional patterns of action, aimed at a strategic monopolization of participation, and securing social power. Such an analytical approach means that unintended closure processes remain understudied. Our conclusion is that concealed modes of reproduction of social structures ought to be examined and theorized more intensively due to their importance for the elimination of social inequality within universities.}, language = {en} } @book{Graebsch2017, author = {Graebsch, Christine}, title = {Supervisible}, publisher = {Howard League for Penal Reform}, address = {London}, isbn = {978-1-911114-13-0}, pages = {5}, year = {2017}, language = {en} } @misc{Schmidt2016, author = {Schmidt, Holger}, title = {Reviews: Continuing professional development in social work}, series = {Social work education : the international journal}, pages = {2}, year = {2016}, language = {en} } @misc{Dennert2016, author = {Dennert, Gabriele}, title = {Book reviews: Lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans health inequalities - international perspectives in social work}, series = {Social work education : the international journal}, pages = {2}, year = {2016}, language = {en} } @article{BovenschenLangZimmermann2016, author = {Bovenschen, Ina and Lang, Katrin and Zimmermann, Janin}, title = {Foster children's attachment behavior and representation}, series = {Child Abuse \& Neglect : the international journal}, volume = {51 (2016)}, number = {1}, issn = {0145-2134}, pages = {13}, year = {2016}, language = {en} } @article{BovenschenGablerNowacki2016, author = {Bovenschen, Ina and Gabler, Sandra and Nowacki, Katja}, title = {Foster children's attachment security in the first year after placement}, series = {Early childhood research quarterly}, volume = {36 (2016)}, issn = {0885-2006}, pages = {12}, year = {2016}, language = {en} } @book{GraebschBurkhardt2014, author = {Graebsch, Christine M. and Burkhardt, Sven-Uwe}, title = {Ambulant sanctions as an alternative to imprisonment in the European Union?}, publisher = {Center for the Study of Democracy}, address = {Sofia}, isbn = {978-954-477-220-8}, pages = {120}, year = {2014}, language = {en} } @article{HuebnerProttDennert2014, author = {Huebner, J. and Prott, F.
